Terms and Conditions

We strive to provide you with the best possible advice in detailing your itinerary and tours. However, we do not run the transportation, or trips ourselves. All disputes over the quality of the transportation, or issues with your vacation itself, including cancellations, personal property or individual security items must be taken up with the provider of the specific segments of the trip that you purchase Chichi Charters is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any travel segment suppliers or for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting therefrom.

The Website and its management cannot be held liable for their acts, omission, wrongdoing or other. Travel services are subject to the conditions set by those suppliers, and their liability may, in turn, be limited by their tariffs and conditions of service. The Website acts only in its role of adviser for the client as to travel related goods and services rendered and as such, does not keep any legal authority or control over the operator's personnel, assets, operation and/or property.

Chichi Charters cannot be held responsible for travel and transportation services that we do not ourselves provide, and is not liable for any events while you are on your trip.

Chichi Charters Website will not assume liability for any claims, costs or expenses arising from personal injuries to the client or third parties, or caused by accidents, fatalities, loss or damage to personal property, lack of enjoyment or claims over emotional and mental states such as upset, disappointment, anguish, distress or frustration, or any other damage, whether physical, mental or emotional, arising from the following:

  1. Acts committed or omissions caused by any party other than the Website or its employees.
  2. Illness, theft, labor disputes, mechanical failures, quarantine, government actions, weather or any other circumstance beyond direct control of the Website.
  3. The client's failure to obtain the required travel documentation such as, but not limited to, passports, visas and certificates, in which case no refund will be granted.
  4. The client's failure to comply with travel instructions such as, but not limited to, individual travel or tour dates and times, meeting locations, or other instructions.
  5. Changes to, or cancellation of, the travel services incurred, notwithstanding the reason. The Website reserves the right to cancel or change the travel advice provided at its discretion, but will try to substitute them with comparable services.
  6. Descriptions are regularly updated for a depiction of the product as close to reality as possible. However, the Website cannot be held accountable for variations occurring upon your arrival.
  7. Photographic material published on its Website is intended to render a general depiction of the service in question and by no means can be guaranteed that the service will be supplied exactly as depicted.

All trips must be reserved in advance before your arrival to Cozumel in order to guarantee your reservation. If you arrive to the island and wish to schedule a trip last minute. No problem, Contact Us and we will check for availability.

Once you have made your reservation and required deposit of $100.00 usd per charter, we will send you your reservation via e-mail with directions and contact information.

Taxi fare is not included to Marina Fonatur Cozumel, usual taxi fares are approximately $8-10 usd up to 4 passengers. We do not regulate taxi prices, normally there is a sign by the taxi stand that explains taxi prices, or ask at the front desk of your Hotel.

Marina Fonatur Cozumel

Caleta is located approximately ½ mile south of the cruise ship docks, and about 3 miles from downtown. Upon arrival to Marina Fonatur ask for Chichi Charters and they will point you in our direction. If your Hotel has a pier, we can pick you up at most hotels, come charge a docking fee of $2.00 usd per person.

Prices are per boat, up to 4 passengers for fishing trips and up to 6 passengers for snorkel trips. Additional fees apply per person above 4 and 6 passengers.

All Trips must be prebooked and require a minimum $100.00 usd deposit . If you would like to pay the balance in full by credit card, there will be a 7% surcharge. All other payments/balances must be presented in CASH at Marina Fonatur as we do not have credit card machines at the Marina. We cannot accept final payments/balances with a Credit Card, only if they are paid in full at time of reservation.

Paypalis the only mechanism we use for Credit Card payments , we do not take your credit card information .

We offer a no port no pay policy, in which if your cruise ship does not port in Cozumel due to weather or change of route, we will refund your payment 100%

Also if the Harbor Master closes the port due to weather conditions, we will try to reschedule your trip or refund you your payment. The Harbor Master is responsible to determine safe conditions for fishing vessels. This is the only exception for refunding your payment. We fish and snorkel rain or shine!

You have 10 days before your scheduled trip to cancel your itinerary. In which you will be refunded 100% of your payment. After the 10 days you will not be refunded your deposit of $100.00usd per pre-booked charter. This includes no-shows.

There is no refund due to self-induced sickness, or motion sickness. There is no partial refund for returning early (due to sea sickness).
